Arc System Works announced Guilty Gear Strive Season 2 at Evo 2022, also announcing the first of four new characters added to Season 2: Bridget, not seen since 2008’s Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus Played in the Guilty Gear game.
Bridget marks the sixth new addition to Guilty Gear Strive since its launch in 2020, following Goldlewis Dickinson, Happy Chaos, Jack-O, Baiken and Bible. They wield a giant yo-yo as a weapon, along with a stuffed teddy bear that does some attacks on its own.
Guilty Gear Strive Season 2 was announced during the Evo 2022 Guilty Gear Strive tournament, which led all other games at the event with over 2,100 entrants. This season will include four characters, multiple stages, and more. Season Passes sell for $25 and provide access to everything starting August 8 with Bridget, the two stages, and the second color pack.
Guilty Gear Strive is a 2D fighting game set in an alternate version of Washington, D.C. that ends the story of series protagonist Sol Badguy. Released in June 2021 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC, the game has recently sold 1 million units since its release.
