The next-gen Call of Duty is almost in the hands of players.This The official Call of Duty website announced today The Call of Duty Next event will reveal details about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, including a full reveal of multiplayer, Warzone 2.0, Warzone Mobile, and more. As with the official reveal of the 2019 Modern Warfare reboot, popular Call of Duty streamers and content creators will be in attendance to play the game in real-time.
There will also be some unannounced details and bits of information that were cunningly removed from the announcement. What hasn’t been removed is the date of the upcoming beta, where players around the world will be able to jump into Modern Warfare 2 for the first time and go through its paces. Early access PlayStation players who pre-ordered the Vault Edition from September 16th to 17th will have the beta open to all other PlayStation owners from September 18th to 20th.
The second beta weekend will be open to all players on all platforms and will be cross-play. Early access for Xbox and PC players opens on September 22nd and runs until the 23rd, before the floodgates open to all players, regardless of platform or pre-order, on the 24th until the 26th. PlayStation players can get early access to the second weekend without pre-ordering, only for Xbox and PC owners.
The public beta will “deliver a powerful multiplayer experience beyond the Core 6v6 experience, including a variety of carefully designed maps of all sizes, and equally impressive modes, progression experiences and more,” and players will be featured in Call of Learn about the next presentation during the Call. Players participating in the beta will also receive exclusive rewards, and those who pre-order the Vault Edition will have access to the core Task Force 141 operators in beta—Ghost, Farah, Price, and Soap—as well as the FJX Cinder arsenal.
Finally, Infinity Ward will reveal more details about the game and its development from beta to the official launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 on October 28.
