A year after Chris Harrison’s dramatic exit from the “Bachelor” series, the former reality TV host is living his “best life,” according to the show’s longtime stylist.
Cary Fetman told Insider that he started styling the “Bachelor” contestants shortly after the first season aired in 2002, around the same time that Harrison was introduced as the show’s host. Audiences, “Bachelor” alumni, and especially former BIPOC contestants, were critical of his stance, people familiar with the matter reported at the time. He then issued an apology when he announced in an Instagram post that he would be “exiting” the show “for a while”.
“By excusing historical racism, I defend it,” Harrison wrote in his post. “I’m ashamed of my ignorance. I was wrong.”
Word then came that Harrison would be stepping down from his hosting role permanently, but not before an eight-figure deal with ABC was reported.
Despite the controversy, Feltman said he supports Harrison.
“He’s someone I absolutely admire and love,” Feltman said, noting that after more than 20 years of traveling and working, he couldn’t imagine not loving each other.
“As hard as it is, love never goes away,” Feltman said.
As for Harrison’s day-to-day, after “The Bachelor,” Feltman said he’s “living his best life” and happier than ever. Feltman added that former colleagues often met for dinner.

But not everyone was close to Harrison
One person who doesn’t appear to be in a relationship with the former “Bachelor” host is Lindsay, who became the show’s first black “Bachelor” in 2017.

“He talks openly about being my friend, but unfollows me on all of his social media account channels after he says he’s listening and learning,” Lindsay said.

“I got blamed for his actions, because of his rants on TV,” Lindsay said. “After that interview, I felt like I was doing my job. I was professional and I was personally attacked for doing my job.”
A representative for Rachel Lindsay did not immediately respond to Insider’s request for comment.
