A new livestream details Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak’s next big update going live on Tuesday, August 9 at 7AM PDT.
We already knew we’d be getting two new monsters — Monster Hunter World: Boiling Bazel Gais in Iceborne and Lucent Nalgar Kuga in Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate — but twitch liveHosted by producer Ryozo Tsujimoto and director Yoshitake Suzuki, more details will be unveiled, including more information on the new region, Wilderness Arena.

Other than that, Capcom has been pretty reticent, so all eyes will be on Title Update 1 for more details on the unannounced DLC cosmetics and “several other monsters” the developers have been teasing.
“I’ve had a soft spot for Monster Hunter since World and Iceborne brought them into the contemporary era, but I think Sunbreak is the perfect combination of modern combat and stylized presentation,” Austin writes about Monster Hunter’s latest expansion in their feature article (opens in new tab).
“It’s got a lot of World’s mechanics under the hood, but they’ve been adorned with more color and glam. I didn’t want to put it down, so I’m glad to see Capcom has multiple seasons of free updates planned to pack rare and enhanced Monster. That means chasing more gear and mastering more time trials, I say bring it. I can do it all day.
