A show about Mike Tyson’s life is coming to Hulu, but the boxing legend isn’t thrilled about it. Tyson recently accused the streaming service of stealing his life story.

Back in June, Hulu announced microphoneA miniseries about Tyson’s life and career will premiere on August 25. Apparently, the show was made without Tyson’s approval, and he has repeatedly expressed disdain for his lack of involvement. Recently, Tyson tweeted that Hulu “stole” the story from him.

The series, starring Trevante Rhodes as Tyson, says it will detail “the turbulent ups and downs of Tyson’s boxing career and personal life – from being a beloved global athlete to being a pariah and back.”

The show has been a point of contention for boxers since it was announced. In a statement from Entertainment TonightTyson slammed Hulu for making money with his life without his consent.

“[That’s] An outright lie,” Tyson said in a statement to ET. “My right to life option expired years ago. Hulu and any of their defiant teams have tried to negotiate anything with this black man. In their eyes, I was still just an ordinary guy on the auction floor, ready to sell for their profit, regardless of my worth or my family.

“They say the story is an exploration of a black man. It’s more like the exploitation of a black man. Hulu thinks their trail is by hiring black people to sacrifice lambs to act as a forward for their backdoor robbery, which is shocking. I will forever Remember this blatant disregard for my dignity.”

In the ring, Tyson is one of the best boxers in the history of the sport. He has a 50-6 career record with 44 knockouts and two no-matches.

Outside the ring, Tyson has always been a polarizing figure. In 1992, Tyson was convicted of rape and sentenced to six years in prison, suspended for four years. He was released in 1995 and returned to boxing later that year.
