The Elden Ring is full of fantastic creatures that make great companions, if not all hostile. The Elden Ring’s summoning system proves this, letting players choose from a vast array of spirit creatures to fight alongside them. However, we are not interested in their combat capabilities right now. Today, Elden Ring players are discussing which creature, critter or boss would make the best family pet and why.

Redditor HighNoonian asked this question to the Elden Ring subreddit, and in return, he received an astonishing number of diverse and well-thought-out answers. Right out of the gate, Redditor ZPD710 provided objectively correct answers explaining how easy it is to keep Jar Cairn, one of the little jar boys you’ll encounter multiple times throughout the game. As the ZPD710 points out, you don’t even have to take care of him that much, just let him hang out around the house (pun intended) and have fun.

Others decided to opt for a more practical option, not for aesthetic reasons, as several users liked the Mimic Tear. While it might be weird for some to have copies of themselves around the house, Redditor Svenray explained that they’ll send Mimic Tear to work in their place so they can stay home and possibly play more Elden Ring . If real life is like gaming, expect Mimic Tear to get a promotion within a week.

Of course, no Reddit post about the adorable Elden Ring creature would be complete without a mention of Pope Miril, the game’s giant turtle. While Miriel is generally considered the best boy by the entire community, keeping him as a pet may be a bit impractical due to his size. Still, he might be handy if you have any horrific sins that need to be forgiven.
