|India 164-5 (20 overs) beat England 160-6 (20 overs) by four points|
England’s hopes of winning the Twenty20 gold medal were dashed after the home team lost four straight to India in the semi-finals of the Commonwealth Games.
Opener Smriti Mandhana hit 61 of 32 balls, including three sixes, and Jemimah Rodrigues hit an unbeaten 44 as India made it a challenging 164-5.
Captain Nat Sciver and Amy Jones looked like they could lead England home, but Jones has missed 31 games.
In a desperate run, Sciver also ran 41 as England failed to make it.
India will face either Australia or New Zealand in Sunday’s final, while England face bronze medal losers.
