Washington — President Biden tested negative for COVID-19 Saturday after a week of rebounding infections.
His doctor, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, said in a letter that Biden “will continue to implement strict quarantine measures pending a second negative test.”
“The president continues to feel good,” O’Connor said.
Mr. Biden has experienced “rebound positivity” that has occurred in a small group of patients receiving the antiviral treatment Paxlovid.
For the past week, the president has been working in isolation at the executive residence.
About three weeks ago, Mr. Biden first tested positive for COVID-19 and started the Paxlovid class. A few days later, he tested negative, ending his isolation.But last Saturday, O’Connor said the presidentAgain, though he didn’t show any symptoms.
