Last week, The Ascent marked its one-year anniversary by teasing the arrival of new content or DLC (opens in new tab). This week, it was finally officially confirmed: the CyberHeist DLC will be released on August 18th.
“It’s our one-year anniversary!” the team announced last week. “We’re humbled by the support and love we’ve received since launch. Thank you to our amazing community for sticking with us and playing our games! We thank each and every one of you! With that said, we’re leaving this [ten-second video teaser] here…”
Although we still Don’t know all the details yet – Neon Giant’s latest video trailer doesn’t get much more than what we saw last week – but it does announce: “Indent! Get ready for a brand new contract! CyberHeist DLC August 18 coming soon!”

“It’s a world on a grand scale, but there’s nothing interesting to do. It’s dense with characters, but few people are interested in speaking, let alone reacting to the way your actions affect their reality. Combat is hard to control, But little real change.
“If you’re able to gather a few friends and play The Ascent for a few nights by subscribing to Xbox Game Pass, you’re probably going to have a good time, just don’t expect a cyberpunk world you can invest in yourself.”
But despite the narrative incomprehension, miscommunication, and proliferation of difficulty, Josh says it does feature an incredible visual design, fun encounters, and tense gunplay.
