Xbox has announced a raffle for a brand new controller with a gimmick that’s completely unique to this prize.
When it comes to unique controller changes, Xbox Fans have always been offered many different options. While other companies offer many third-party controller options, Microsoft has also released a number of unique and fancy versions of console controllers. From the colorful Pride-themed version to the weird furry controller based on Sonic and Knuckles, it surprised many fans. Another fancy controller variant has been revealed, this time as a cross-promotion with a new song called “Bad Decisions.”
Bad Decisions is a surprising collaboration between popular K-Pop superstar duo BTS, American record producers Benny Blanco and Snoop Dog. The song is a flirty dance track, and a music video was released earlier this week. To celebrate the song’s release, Xbox is offering fans a chance to win a controller based on the song, along with a unique gimmick: the ability to make it sing.
More specifically, it’s a custom Xbox controller with the same color scheme as the Bad Decisions stand-alone, dark red with white levers and directional pads, while the buttons are standard black. The controller features the single’s logo in the middle, while also including the artist’s name near the bottom. It also has a built-in speaker on the back, and if the player presses a button, the song will start playing from the rear speakers. However, such controllers are not normally available and can only be obtained through this particular Xbox giveaway raffle.
With such a unique controller, this is a sought-after item for BTS fans. For fans who wish to own this collectible, they must follow the Xbox Twitter account and then must QRT the original tweet with the message #BadDecisionsSongXboxSweepstakes. This sweepstakes begins on August 4th at 9pm PST and will run through August 25th, when entries close at 6pm PST. Fans also need to be at least 18 years old to qualify for the win.
The tweet also states that players will also pay for their Forza Horizon 5 Garage, which is also presumably based on the song, will feature the same color scheme. Fans who happen to be K-Pop and Xbox fans flock to the tweet, with many expressing their excitement for the chance to win a piece of unique Xbox hardware tied to their favorite musical group.
