Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, developer Fatshark’s futuristic follow-up to Vermintide, is offering beta registrations, and playtesting will begin later this month.
Registration for the beta version of Darktide is at Official website (opens in new tab). The developer says the beta will launch “as early as mid-August” and further testing will continue ahead of launch. Early testing will focus on PC, but the beta will eventually include Xbox players as well.
Early versions of the beta will focus on a series of technical tests, and invitations will be limited depending on factors such as your platform, specs, or location. However, one registration will get you all betas considered, so you only have to do it once. Progress in early testing won’t carry over to the final game, and the developers say it’s unlikely to change “until closer to release.”
Darktide is coming to PC on November 30, with Xbox Series X and S versions coming shortly after. The game was originally scheduled to launch on September 13 — it had previously been delayed from spring 2022 to 2021.
“While we’re humbled by the tremendous feedback on the game so far, we need more time to improve stability, performance and mature key systems,” the developer said in a statement. Recent Delay Announcements“Everyone is critical to making sure we give our players the best possible experience.”
