Alex Moukala, the composer behind multiple viral remixes of Final Fantasy XIV and other games, has announced that he is working on soundtracks for several other games.
The popular artist tweeted that he’s “composing music full-time for several amazing video games.” He didn’t elaborate on what games he’s working on, but he did reveal that he’s currently working on making music for Mystery Games “Write a powerful soundtrack”.

Moukala’s impressive covers have earned him a huge following over the past few years. He’s a big fan of Final Fantasy, having released a short remix of Final Fantasy XIV’s boss track “To The Edge” back in 2020. His work is so good that game composer Masayoshi Soken asked him to make a full version of Final Fantasy XIV. Song, needless to say, Mukalla did not disappoint.
Last year, the artist gave his own spectacular anime-style introduction to Final Fantasy 14 Endwalker, which you can check out in the video below. It was an original arrangement by Alex Moukala, Husky the Geek, Studio Nicktendo and Denmo McStrongHuge that took months to complete. Recently, Moukala recreated the memorable Final Fantasy XIV tune “Close in the Distance” with the help of 1,400 fans who submitted videos of themselves singing the chorus. Based on an original song by Masayoshi Soken and Jason Charles Miller, this emotional fan arrangement is dedicated to the game’s creators and the FF14 community. Given the incredible talent he’s shown so far, we can’t wait to hear the audio fun Moukala brings to future titles.
