Writer Tom Taylor and artist Trevor Hairsine are returning for their zombie version of the DC Universe, which the publisher is calling the “final chapter” of the DCeased saga in DCeased: Undead War.

Battle of the Undead will run for eight installments starting in August, and will focus on the aftermath of the return of the DCeased cosmic version of Darkseid, who was resurrected at the end of DCeased: Dead Planet.
Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman will have to join forces with “the most powerful surviving hero of the first DCeased series” who may be the world’s “only hope”.
DC has previously released four DCeased series, starting with the original (referred to as DCeased, of course), as well as DCeased: Dead Planet, DCeased: Unkillables, and DCeased: Hope at World’s End. DCeased: War of the Undead Gods is billed as the end of the entire epic story – but who’s to say the zombie story won’t be resurrected at some point?
DC showed off an expanded look at DCeased: War of the Dead at San Diego Comic-Con, and now they’ve released some full-letter pages from the inaugural issue:
DCeased: War of the Undead Gods will feature a variety of covers, with series artist Trevor Hairsine providing the main cover, Francesco Mattina providing the horror-themed variant, and Kael Ngu creating the special-edition acetate variant cover.
DC also debuted the cover of Issues 2-3 at SDCC. See all below, and the cover of Issue 1.
Meanwhile, Batman/Superman: The World’s Finest Artist Dan Mora will offer a series of four interlocking covers that combine to pay homage to Jim Lee’s X-Men #1 cover, the latest in a few A popular reference point for tribute covers, and one of the best covers ever selling comics.
DCeased: War of the Undead Gods #1 will release on August 8th.
Should DCeased be in best horror comics all the time?
