Director Christopher McQuarrie has spoken out about “Mission Impossible 8” (officially titled Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 2) will feature Tom Cruise as agent Ethan Hunt in the Coverage of the last outing in the series, viewers are encouraged not to believe everything they read.
“I’ve worked with Tom Cruise for 15 years and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve stood next to that guy and witnessed an event and then read about it in the trade the next day and they didn’t describe it It’s actually true,” he said in an interview Light the Fuse Podcast (opens in new tab).
He added: “When you read an article in the industry, just put the fictional word in front of the title: ‘The agenda is…’ for a specific reason. Someone expects others to think so for a specific reason, while You never know for sure what those reasons are. You learn to ignore it and laugh at it. In today’s world, you wait 17 minutes and then another news cycle will sweep it away.”
Cruise will be joined by Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby, Henry Czerny, Hayley Atwell, Shea Whigham and Pom Klementieff, as well as the recently announced New cast members Nick Offerman and Janet McTeer. Previous reports by trade publications Says that the seventh and eighth installments will end the franchise.
