Fans of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla may soon be able to grasp the divine power of Thanos and Tony Stark, according to details leaked in the game files.
data miner Andy Reloaded Have filmed yourself swaggering like Iron Man in a new set of armor that lets you use a chest laser similar to Stark’s own arc reactor.
The design of the armor, especially the colors, is clearly Iron Man-themed. But – thank goodness – you’re not actually Iron Man, and the rest of the design is similar to what the series’ technical Isu competition warns against.
In May, the same data miner released footage of another armor set, Master of Elements, which lets users use two Infinity Gauntlet-style gloves (thanks, small house).
Ubisoft has yet to announce any sets of armor, and it’s unclear if these are a playful nod to Marvel or some kind of official collaboration.
I’m reminded of a branding crossover similar to Final Fantasy 15 that was added for free to Assassin’s Creed Origins in the Ancient Egypt setting, later in its life. This allows you to run around on a camel mount that looks like a chocobo using Square Enix’s in-game weapons.
(In the universe, I believe, this is because Animus user Layla is likely a fan of Final Fantasy and modified her UX herself. Or something like that.)
Ubisoft will make a series of announcements about Assassin’s Creed at its upcoming Ubisoft Forward event on September 10th.
There, we’re expecting a first look at the upcoming small-scale stealth Assassin’s Creed game set in Baghdad, details of which have been leaked multiple times. The title, which was reportedly slated for the end of the year, will now launch in early 2023.
Meanwhile, Valhalla will finally wrap up its sprawling post-launch content schedule by the end of the year, with a final free epilogue to the story.
