Following last month’s PlayStation Network victory over Square Enix, Square Enix has officially unveiled Tactics Ogre Reborn, an updated version of the classic turn-based strategy RPG set for release later this year.

Tactics Ogre Reborn is based on 2011’s Tactics Ogre: Let’s Stick Together on the PSP, itself a port of the Super Nintendo’s 1995 original. The game follows Denam through a story of political intrigue and betrayal, including branching paths that depend on choices players make at key moments.

This reborn version of Tactical Ogre will feature full cutscenes in both English and Japanese, a new control scheme, and an overhaul of the class system, changing to a unit-by-unit power supply system instead of powering the entire class at once. Enemy AI will also be improved, with enemy units adjusting their strategies on the fly for more unique combat.

Tactics Ogre Reborn is an isometric strategy role-playing game that puts players in command of a unit of warriors as they battle in a 3D grid-based arena. It launches on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC on November 11.
