Lady Gaga will star alongside Joaquin Phoenix in Joker: Folie a Deux – a musical. While the news may seem like a wild dream, the starlet herself confirmed her role with Phoenix — both in outdated silhouettes — in a short video on Twitter and Instagram via a short video on Twitter and Instagram. Quinn’s signature heart tattoo outlines Gaga’s face. It hasn’t been officially confirmed, but we can safely infer that Gaga will sing and dance with Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker.
The news comes a day after Warner Bros. revealed that the sequel will hit theaters in 2024.

The term “Folie à Deux” is a clinical term for “shared madness” between two people – in which delusions and hallucinations are thought to be transferred from one person to the other. Phoenix and Gaga will play mad lovers who will both wreak havoc and cause equal parts mayhem.
The first Joker saw Phoenix as a failed party clown and aspiring stand-up comedian who started a violent campaign against Gotham City’s wealthy residents. The film was nominated for 11 Academy Awards, including Phoenix for Best Actor, and grossed more than $1 billion worldwide.according to type (opens in new tab), Phoenix will receive $20 million to reprise her role in Folie à Deux. There’s no word yet on how much Gaga will earn for her role as Harley Quinn.
